Section 1- Cut Flowers and Shrubs

Must be grown by exhibitor. ALL entries in this section must be displayed in a glass or clear plastic container bottler/jar unless otherwise stipulated.

A collection is three (3) or more. Distinct is different. N.N.D. is not necessarily different or distinct variety or colour. A Stem carries a single flower bud. A Cut is a stem that carries more than one bloom or bud. Limit of 3 entries per Class.

Section 2 – Potted Plants. The exhibit must be shown in its growing Pot, Basket, or Container. Pots and Container Plants must have been owned by Exhibitor for 3 months prior to the show.

Photo Competition to be judged on day of show
Judged by popular choice. Must be garden related. No larger than post card size…
All photos to be mounted on cardboard no larger than 20 x 15 cm with your name on back of entry. Limit of 3 photos per class.
Photography Class

  2. Photo. Close study of a flower, fruit or vegetable
  3. Photo Pets or Wildlife in the garden
    CONDITIONS: Environmental weeds will not be accepted. Plants with oiled, waxed or artificially treated foliage will be disqualified.
    Maximum three entries per class. Must be grown by exhibitor. All care will be taken, but no responsibility accepted for exhibits. Floral exhibits must be staged in a clear glass jar/bottle or plastic container unless otherwise stated in the schedule.
    All exhibits must be staged between 2.00 pm and 5.15pm on Friday 29th September 2023. Class cards must be lodged with all entries. Exhibitors must be escorted by a Steward when placing exhibits on the show tables.
    Exhibits must remain in the venue auditorium until 3.pm closing time.
    The “Judge’s decision” is FINAL.
    Presentation of Awards will commence at 2.00pm Saturday 30thSeptember 2023

About the Twin Towns Garden Club
Members meet at the Tweed Heads Civic and Cultural Auditorium on the 2nd Monday of the month from January to November.
Doors open at 8.30am for set up and benching. The Meeting commences at 10.00am (please note club functions on Daylight Saving time!)
Admission: $5.00 members and visitors (includes free morning tea)
Membership joining fee – $10 (which includes Diary & Name Badge)
Membership renewal – $5.00 payable at the beginning of each calendar year
Insurance regulations require all members and visitors to sign the Club’s Register on arrival.
All financial members are welcome to participate in bus trips and social morning teas.
