GENERAL MEETINGS

WHEN: 2nd Monday of the Month regularly.

WHERE: Jan, Feb, Mar, Apr, May, June and November 2024 at the Tweed Heads Civic and Cultural Centre Brett Street Tweed Heads NSW 2485

July, August, September and October 2024 at South Tweed Community Centre, 18 Heffron Street, Tweed Heads South NSW 2486. Located next to the Tweed Regional Aquatic Centre 

December is our annual Christmas Function at Club Tweed, Florence Street, Tweed Heads New South Wales 2485 

TIME: Doors open at 8.30am General Meeting commences at 10.00am

SIGN IN: $5.00 which covers guest speakers, judges, hall hire, morning tea (please bring your own mug) etc. Please wear your name badge.

BENCHING COMPETITION: for members to exhibit flowers, plants and produce.

MONTHLY RAFFLE: a selection of great prizes to be won.

TRADING AND CUTTINGS TABLE: plants for sale

LUCKY DOOR PRIZE: a lucky member wins a prize!

SOCIAL ACTIVITIES

TOURS and TRIPS

Local bus trips are arranged for club members only. Money for each trip must be paid in full by the meeting prior to the trip. Refunds generally are not available. More extensive tours are also organised from time to time.

LIBRARY

Popular gardening magazines are available for Club members to borrow, free of charge. All borrowed items must be returned to the Librarian at the following meeting.

TRADING TABLE

Each plant brought for sale must be clearly labelled with the seller’s name, asking price and separate label with the name of the plant, if known. 10% of the sale price goes to the Club, the balance to the member. Members selling plants must be present at the meeting. Environmental weeds will not be accepted. Please adhere to any restrictions in place for the movement of potted plants. Coordinator to approve all plants presented for sale.
SELLING COMMENCES AT 8.30 am (DST).

CUTTINGS TABLE

Members are invited to bring in excess cuttings for sale. All cuttings, bulbs, and plants are available for a small price. All proceeds from sales go to the Club. Environmental weeds will not be accepted.

SOCIAL MORNING TEAS

Social Morning Teas are organised on a regular basis in the gardens of our members or other suitable venue. This is an opportunity for members to bring along a chair, a cup and a plate to share, and to enjoy an informal gathering while gaining new ideas for their own garden.

BEGONIA GROUP

The Begonia Club meets on the third Monday of the month. The venue is advertised in the monthly newsletter. Members are encouraged to bring begonias to show, discuss and share.


All Garden Club members and visitors are welcome.
